I use to post to this site bout 5 or so years ago and got busy with life and now have found some time to visit again. I remember this being one of the best sites I had ever visited. Hope everyone is doing well.

Good day folks,
Just dropping by to introduce myself. a not-so-beginner golfer (but really a beginner on PC, haha) but just got the urge to play again after joining some mates from the office.
Cheers!

Howdy everyone!
The name's George, but "turf" or "wolf" always works too. I'm an old (but young at heart) duffer that used to be a bogey golfer IRL (actually had 2 sub-par rounds in my life) and have played online golf off-and-on for over 15 yrs now.... I was a longtime "LINKS LS" player and still have the games and over 200 courses on CD. I just found the "TWO" site a few days ago and I was hooked immediately, so I bought an annual subscription. I've played numerous rnds in the last few days, trying to work my way up the ladder.... I think I'm at level 16 now.
I'm a divorced and retired electro/mechanical designer, originally from CT (go UCONN Huskies! {my alma mater}...how bout dem women hoopsters, heh!). I spent 15 yrs of my life building nuclear submarines at Electric Boat in Groton, Ct. I left CT in 1997, lived in MO for 6 yrs, and moved here to Michigan in 2003. One of my greatest joys was raising and sharing life with two wolves (Kola and Shiloh) who lived to be 12 and 14. I'm a devout lover of nature and wildlife and I miss them dearly. Aside from the fact that I've never warmed up to hunting, I've been an avid outdoorsman/sportsman my whole life. I'm an accomplished sailor, downhill skier, and scuba diver. Can still average bout 160 on the lanes, and will win my share of drinks on a pool table. But I've also come to love the computer, and have been building and upgrading my own for some 20 yrs now. Music has always been a big enjoyment and I'm still a good dancer. I love classic rock and good bluegrass. I play a little guitar and love jammin with folks for days, every year at the Wheatland Music Festival here in MI. Love sports too. Being a CT native, I'm a lifelong NY Giants, Red Sox, and Celtics fan (and I pull for the Patriots too). Having been in Mich for awhile, I now find myself rooting for the local teams; Tigers, Pistons, Redwings, and yes...even the lowly Lions! lol I also like Michigan State (30 miles away), but not a "Michigan" fan... they come off a little too "upper crust" for me.
Welp, dats my story in a nutshell.... and the good news is, I don't yak nearly this much out on the course.... so if ya run into me, gimmee a howl....I don't bite...wolves are playful as hell!
.........and remember.....this is the only place where the mouse gets YOU in the trap..!! LOL Long and straight y'all !
