When needing support, please include the following information below to speed up the process.
TW08
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Intel Core 2 Extreme Q6700
DDR2 4096 MBytes
Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX
Asus Striker Extreme
Have all current and latest drivers/bios installed.
Cable Connection
New Install of Windows 7
Intermediate/Advanced
Tiger Woods 08 plays fine offline/online, no problems. Just installed and tested the game. Installed TW Caddie 08 64bit and it tells me Tiger Woods is not installed on my computer. Uninstalled TW Caddie 64 bit and installed TW Caddie 1.5 within the EA Sports folder thinking it would recognize the game. I also tried putting in the paths to the course folder and library folder; still no luck. Hope someone has some ideas; hate the thought of uninstalling & reinstalling TW 08; not sure if it would do any good!

I am trying to get this course to work. The error message I get from when trying to set up round on Lan. Cannot find file Pasatiempo Golf Club 2006.
The course and library is on my PC.
The TW Caddie shows the library as installed. Also have the Pasatiempo Golf Club 2006 course installed also.
Any suggestions. Thanks.

There used to be a "no CD" set up with other versions ie; TW 05, that allows you to play the game from your hard drive without having the CD in the ROM. Is there one for TW 08 ??
THank you

I have loaded TW08 on my new emachine E525 laptop (win7) and I have no mouse when in the game. I have tried both wired (Krait) and wireless (Logitech M305) and get no cursor. I do get the icons to light up when I am lucky enough to pass over one and then the enter key or left click will activate that icon. Upon leaving the game my cursor acts as normal again.

I can't get TW 08 to load. The following message appears.
This application has failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem.
Given that I have about 30 custom courses installed, the last thing I want to do is re-install the game. I looked on the TW 08 disk and found a MSVCR70.dll in the data folder of the EASO folder but no MSVCR71.dll. Almost looks like the "71" is an update of the "70". Can someone tell me where I would get the "71" file? I assume then that I should put it in the data folder of the EASO folder. I have not played TW 08 for a couple of weeks but did try out a few holes of TW Online so I hope that didn't screw up my install. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello All--
My first posting as a new member to this forum--I have attempted several time to download the above mentioned course and can never get it to install. I click install twice and then the Zip file button but nothing happens. I see people playing the course on line so I know it exists. What seems to be the problem?

Hello Friends;
I am in the process of getting away from Vista and onto Windows 7 64 bit system. I have been trying to re-install all of my courses back into my game using the Vista 64 bit Caddie from Course Downloads. I have seen one post on this subject and have tried to run TW and Caddie as if it were a vista program, but that does not work either. I really need to get this figured out before ladder starts back up or I will not be able to play any more.
Do any of you older members remember how we used to install courses manually? Yes you newbies at one time we had to manually install courses.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, if any of you other Windows 7 converties have an answer please share.
Thanks Dave - Zuh

For those who may have encountered the same problem.
Yesterday when I tried to start up the game all I got was a black screen. I didn't even get passed the " EA sports, its in the game "-tune. I searched the fora and tried all sorts of things, but nothing helped. Untill I got an idea: If that EA-tune got corrupted in any way, and I would remove it, could that give me any result?
So I threw the darn thing out ( onto my desktop for safe-keeping ). That file is in the VIDEO'S file and it's called EAS.avi.
Now I get a warning that the file can't be found. Just click CANCEL and forward we go on our quest for a better golf-world

.
Not the most original Xmass story, but can be usefull to someone.
If ever there's a better solution for this problem, do let us know ( BTW I have a downloaded version of 2k8 ).
Merry Xmass and a Happy New Year,
Joan

I have been running Tiger '08 for a long time in Vista. Works great. AA is forced in nVidia CP and works well. Just installed W7 on a different HD to dual boot. The game runs fine but there is no AA under W7. Same drivers, same profile settings and same in-game settings. Am I missing something?
Thanks!

When starting TPC Sawgrass 2009 PGAX it keeps freezing at startup gets all the way through the bar loading & then freezes just before coming up. I have deleted all libraries & course & reloaded & still the same thing? Any clues? Is anyone else having similar difficulty?
Bill Curtis:
I was trying to load it up on LAN & tried to set up a tournament online & it worked. Played the first hole then it locked up again while going to second hole, forcing me to reboot my computer. I assume it's a library problem but have reloaded all of them & don't know what to do.

I reinstalled TW 08 on my new system. EASO no longer works. I get a bunch of error messages and the only way I can get out of it is CTRL/ALT/DEL. The very first message I get is:
"Failed to Get MyIp, will use fake one. error={object Error}
When I click okay it goes through about six more different error messages. For example, the 2nd error message is:
"Disconnect barf{object Error}
The 3rd one is:
TickerSetKeyParams error {object Error}
and so on...............
I still have TW 08 installed on my old PC and EASO works fine there. Oh, one final thing, after the last error message, I can see on the EASO screen in the background the following:
"Error Code: 777. We are experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later. If the problem persists, contact customer support.
I sent an e-mail to EA Customer Support a week ago with no reply. Any help would be appreciated.

I honestly do not know what the problem is. Anyone who knows me will know that my PC knowledge can be written on the back of a postage stamp. This is what I have got :-
Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3
System Manufacturer: TriGem Computer NETHERLANDS System Model: AWRDACPI
Processor: Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 2.50GHz
Memory: 1536MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
Graphics Card name: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200
Display Memory: 256.0 MB
The above was copied directly from the dxdiag report.
The Computer Tech that tested the PC a few weeks ago said that the Game should play on the PC with no worries. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the Unity Programme on 4 seperate occasions but still get the problems mentioned.

Does anybody know how or if you can get rid of the yardage ticker that appears in the middle of the screen after the ball is hit? I noticed that it doesn't appear in replays. It is extremely annoying and unnecessary. An indication after each shot of the yardage hit and the yardage left would have been sufficient. Thanks.

Problem Description: I just did a system reformat and then reinstalled TW08. It's been a while since I originally bought and installed it and really had the game nicely 'tweaked' to perfection. Anyway, I now find that all add-on courses have the dreaded zombies and I forgot how to get rid of them. They don't appear on the original courses as I installed the 'no-galleries fix', but I need a refresher on how to get rid of them on add-ons? Thanks much.

I've been having problems on my computer for suddenly the last week or two where I can't get online. Game comes up fine but when I log in it immediately tells me " Your network connection may be interfering with your EA Sports online experience. Check your network settings and all cables or network devices. If problem persists contact Customer Support."
I've done all of the above & attempted the fixes they gave me to no avail. I can be on Skype & my email connection with no problem. But no change in results of getting online.
They have also suggested to enable my router setting to enable port 12203 & I don't know how to do that nor if it will help.
If anyone can help me I sure appreciate it.
Bill Curtis
Thanks to leic111 Steve Newby & Steve Cave I got it fixed right after I completed the message. Steve Newby asked me if my time was OK & I said it was but I had a problem two weeks ago wher the time went off & I reset it. I didn't set the date & saw it was now February 2002. I corrected that & off I went _ IT WORKS!!!!!!!!
Sorry for troubling everyone.

I tried to install TW 06 on my new PC as I wanted to use the widescreen patch to see if it could be displayed at the native resolution of my new monitor, 1680 X 1050 without distortion. Part way through the installation, a message comes up "cannot transfer D:\bin\DXWrap.dll and the installation stops. Does this have something to do with the game allowing only so many installs? If yes, do I contact EA service? Thanks.

I bought TW 08 from Electronics Boutique in 2008 and it was their last copy. I haven't seen it since in any retail store such as Future Shop or Best Buy. Each time I play the game, I have to insert the disk. I would like to make a back up copy in case something happens to my original disk. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to burn a copy of TW 08? As a computer neophyte I am a little concerned that if I tried to burn a copy it would screw up my original as I believe EA disks are protected in some way. If it can't be done, anyone know where I can buy another one? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
